Family CFO

The concept of a family Chief Financial Officer has existed for a number of years with the mega-wealthy.  Our desire is to provide similar professional guidance in one place for those families in the $1-$25 million wealth category by offering traditional CPA and tax services, financial planning services, and investment management services. 

We serve as a family advisor or coach to keep up with overall financial positions.  This includes quarterly monitoring of investments for tax purposes, determining a tax efficient method for charitable giving, either managing financial assets or working directly with brokerage firms to monitor investment performance, developing cash flow models to assist client in planning for retirement or the ability to change careers.

Some clients want Rutherford Consulting Group to handle financial planning, tax compliance, as well as investment management, while other clients prefer the traditional tax services role but ask us to coordinate the services offered by others as the family financial “quarterback”.
